The Proper Strength Training Newsletter – Written and compiled in true “Big” Jim style, this monthly publication for the “Boomer” generation is intense! If you’re looking for more of the same old newsstand fitness magazine garbage, this isn’t for you. You won’t find pretty boys with shaved bodies…nothing but time tested and proven, no nonsense, straight to the point fitness tips, tactics and strategies to get the your aging body into shape FAST.

You’ll get a new set of workouts each month, designed to get you in and keep you in the best shape of your life. Put these workouts to use right away and make sure you follow the guidance I provide throughout. That’s the only way you are going to see the maximum results.

I’m providing you with 3 groups of workouts each month. One group is for use with barbells and dumbbells, another group is for use with machines and the third group is bodyweight only (no equipment needed). I’ve done this so whether you have access to the best equipment available, or nothing more than just your body, you can still get a highly effective workout.

Start slowly! Don’t over do it at first. It’s easy to over estimate your abilities and get hurt when first getting started. Follow my program and I will get you into great shape, but it’s important that you don’t over train. We’re not as young as we once were and our bodies require more time to recover from high intensity exercise.

Last, if you have specific questions about anything related to the workouts I design for you, ask them in the comments section toward the bottom of the page. I will personally answer them in a timely manner.
