Why Most People Exercise…

Believe it or not, the primary reason people exercise is to show improvement in their appearance while the secondary goal is better health. However, both of these worthy goals are side-effects from properly performed high intensity training exercises.

The most important factor that all of us (and especially our seniors and boomers) should look to improve is: Our Functional Ability

As time passes, the aging process continues and based on certain factors, time may be either kind or unkind!

Proper high intensity training must be performed against the source of resistance in order to produce meaning changes in the following:

Muscle mass

Bone Density

Cardio improvement

Flexibility

Proper strength training protocols based on high intensity exercise is the best and most efficient way to achieve these changes. Yet today, controversy far out-weighs simple logic. From a simple logical point of view, proper high intensity training exercises should be performed for one of three possible reasons:

#1-To improve functional ability

#2-To maintain an existing level of functional ability

#3-to prevent a loss of functional ability

All three of the possible reasons to perform high intensity training exercises relate to “functional ability”. Proper high intensity training which increases muscle mass and strength will definitely enhance your Quality of Life and is a requirement to be able to perform your daily activities.
